Colonial field trip

Velzy had a field trip to Riely's Farms. It is up in the mountains in Apple Valley. They have a Colonial house and they reenact the War. They make home made 10 pound apple pies and so much more.
Velzy's class has a costume contest. Velzy asked Grammy and Aunt Chris to make her a dress. She was dying to win because the prize was missing a test!
Velzy and Grammy picked out the fabric and the pattern. Aunt Chris was so kind to sew it and Grammy made the bonnet.
All of the workers dress in costume and act the part the entire time.
Learning how to hold a gun!
They learned all about how pepole lived during this time.
They even got to play like the kids played.
Stick and hoop
Velzy got a mini berry pie.
She didn't need 10 pounds!
After lunch they died!
Then they heard a speech about how lucky we are to live in America! It was awesome! Even brought a tear to some of the kids eyes!

Even Dad fits! But he didn't sleep in there.
The Olsons came to visit!
Beach day!!!
Sisters! We always knew this time would come! The kids played and we sat on the beach and talked and ate!!!

Papa gets a snuggle from Colin! Lucky!!!
